Watch a joyful performance bursting with jingle bells and Christmas spirit, sing Christmas songs together, and enjoy a special, individual moment with Father Christmas himself. All children take home a Christmas gift.
Enjoy a full day out at Castle Howard with a Father Christmas in the Castle experience, which includes access to Alice’s Christmas Wonderland in our main House, and access to the Gardens.
Bookings allow a maximum of two adults per booking – this helps us make sure there is plenty of space in the room for children. Children aged 12 months and under are free (Babe in Arms), but can only be purchased with a Child ticket. For example, you cannot purchase two adults and a free Babe in Arms ticket, you must have a Child ticket in your basket. Only paid-for children receive a gift.
Father Christmas in the Castle is located in the historic High South up two flights of stone steps. It is regretfully not wheelchair accessible. Santa's Grotto in the Boathouse and Alice's Christmas Wonderland are wheelchair accessible.
Accessible Performances
Relaxed Performance - Friday 6th December, 6.30pm
This performance is for children and young people who would benefit from a more relaxed performance environment. We make adaptations to the show, and have a relaxed approach to noise and movement in the space.
BSL Interpreted Performance - Saturday 7th December, 10.15am
A British Sign Language interpreter will be interpreting this performance for any families who require this service.
