Electro-ebm-dark-dance-industrial act Ayria was formed in 2003 by Canadian singer-songwriter Jennifer Parkin. For two decades now, listeners have been hooked on her driving bass synths, addictive stompy beats, melancholic vocals and unapologetically feminine aesthetic. In 2022, AYRIA released her sixth full-length album and Artoffact Records debut, This is my Battle Cry signalling the beginning of a brand new era, showcasing a slick-more mature sound while still giving a nod to AYRIA’s previous ear-candy laced works. The album features 10 new tracks including the addictively catchy songs “Stranger Danger”, “No One Asked You” and the intensely dark title track “Battle Cry”. The Battle Cry tour has included legs in the USA, UK and will hit Canada later this year before Ayria plans the next music release.

UK Touring quote: Jennifer Parkin of Ayria

“2023 marked the 20th anniversary of Ayria and after a long pandemic, I returned to the stage to tour my 6th full length release `This Is My Battle Cry’ and also to do a full retrospective playing tracks from every previous release.  With a headlining slot at the Resistanz Festival in Sheffield, UK back in April, 2023, I was re-inspired and it motivated me to tour again and reach a live audience. Ayria then embarked on a 22 date USA leg of the Battle Cry tour back in October and November, 2023 and we are now planning a return to the UK for 8 more shows on this tour. The pandemic reminded me that life is too short and it’s now or never. The UK has always been one of my favourite and most supportive markets to tour, and getting to hit the road with UK’s Inertia, who are one of my favourite touring partners is a real treat. Having done this touring combination in both 2014 and 2016 for the Paper Dolls tour, we knew we HAD to do it again as the combination brought something really special to audiences and works so well! I’m really looking forward to playing for the UK audiences again soon!”
