Great British Food Festival Announces Summer Dates - and They are Coming To a Venue Near You!

Preparations are well under way for this year's Great British Food Festivals. With 11 venues this year there is bound to be one near you.

The events which take the best elements of a food and drink festival and combines it with our love of fantastic heritage buildings and venues around the UK, have announced three new venues for this year; Bodelwyddan Castle in North Wales (30th June - 1st July), Chiswick House in London (10th August- 12th August) and Floors Castle in the Scottish Boarders (8th-9th September).

Over 100 different food producers and makers will be in attendance at each venue, with Man V Food and Cake competitions, live music and kids entertainment, there is something for all the family. The highlight for many people are the fantastic chefs who will be demoing their skills on the main stages throughout each weekend. You can expect to see ex Bake Off Stars such as Francis Quinn, Luis Troyano, Jane Beedle, Sandy Docherty and Howard Middleton. Howard said 'I'm really looking forward to coming back to do these events, they are such fun and always a lovely crowd, I especially like seeing, and trying, all the public creations in the cake off'.

One of the event organisers, Daniel Maycock, says this year will be better and bigger than ever before 'We are always keen to keep pushing the events on year on year, with that in mind we have added a Bake Stage at each event, which is more interactive and relaxed than the main stage, as well as a Drinks 'Masterglass' stage, where we will do tastings and talks. All included in the entry price. We hope to offer a fun foodie day out for the whole family.'

The events, starting on May Bank Holiday at Hardwick Hall Derbyshire are now all over the country, as far south as London and Wiltshire and up to the Scottish Boarders, taking in some iconic British buildings throughout the summer, ending at Arley Hall, Cheshire in late September.
