Runrig 40th Anniversary Concert 2013

Party On The Moor

To celebrate Runrig's 40th Anniversary, a huge outdoor Party Weekend will be staged at the Black Isle Centre, Inverness on the 9th & 10th August 2013.

The event will be one of Runrig's largest ever staged outdoor events, with a capacity of over 25,000 - this will be the single largest gathering of Runrig's fans, ever!

The Black Isle Showground, 5 miles from Inverness will be the setting for this huge event. A weekend of events, a Friday night Ceilidh will be the opener for this fabulous weekend.

A magnificent secure camp site, food & drink village, Grand Barn and concert arena will play host to the most magnificent Runrig event ever.

Runrig have today (Wednesday 29 May) announced the support acts for their upcoming 40th Anniversary concert.

The six-piece band, who chose to celebrate their significant milestone 'at home' in the Highlands, will be joined by Irish artist Sharon Corr and Celtic band, MÂ…nran, for the concert which forms part of 'Party on the Moor', a two-day event at the Black Isle Showground, Muir of Ord, near Inverness in August.

Runrig have also chosen Glasgow-based folk rock act Washington Irving and Highland-based bands Scooty and the Skyhooks and Gizzen Briggs to join the Celtic showcase on Saturday 10 August 2013.
