More information about Red Dirt Skinners tickets
The Red Dirt Skinners are the first band in history to succeed at both the British Blues Awards (Runner up Best Instrumentalist) and also the British Country Music Awards (Finalist Best New Act and People's Choice). Husband and wife duo and Rob and Sarah Skinner have brought out their third album, Sinking The Mary Rose, which is going down a storm with audiences and press alike, and selling fast.
Their second album, Home Sweet Home (released October 2012) was based on the events of one fateful weekend when the home of the Sussex-based couple was burgled. Home Sweet Home contains the song Mr Jones; nominated Best Song at the UK Country Radio Awards 2013 and The Neighbour’s Rooster; nominated Best Song at the British Blues Awards 2013.
The positive spin that they put on this terrible event seemed to capture the public's attention and meant that Sinking the Mary Rose was entirely funded by pre-orders from their ever-increasing fan base.
Now touring all over the UK and Europe, the talented duo are receiving a wonderful response from audiences and press alike, who describe their sound as "refreshingly different" and "impossible to pigeonhole".
Classic Rock Country recently described them as "The First Couple of British Country" and the award winning Hebden Bridge Blues Festival said they were
"One of Britain's most engaging duos of the moment of any genre".
