Lucy Beaumont is a comedy actress, stand up and writer. She was last year's winner of the BBC New Comedy Award and has recently won the Chortle Award for Best Newcomer. On July 26th join Lucy and Show Me The Funny winner Patrick Monahan for a special night of comedy as they both preview new Edinburgh Fringe shows. Our final show of the summer is not to be missed.

Our Edinburgh previews shows this year mark the return of two of the most successful and popular acts that have performed for us previously.

Lucy Beaumont is a comedy actress, stand up and writer. She was the 2012 winner of The BBC New Comedy Award and has recently won the Chortle Award for Best Newcomer. Lucy was also a finalist in the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2013 and in August 2011 she was ranked third in the Gilded Balloon's nationwide stand-up competition So You Think You're Funny?.

Lucy has appeared on TV in "Live At The Electric" (BBC3) and wrote and performed her first pilot show for BBC Radio 4, titled "To Hull and Back" with Johnny Vegas.  This show will be one of the very first chances to see Lucy Beaumont's first full Edinburgh Festival solo show.

The press have been full of praise for Lucy Beaumont writing,
"Devastating comic timing"  - The Stage
"The next Victoria Wood in the making" - Arthur Smith
"A star is born" - Steve Bennett, Chortle

Sharing the bill with Lucy Beaumont is one of the UK's most popular and charismatic comics, Pat Monahan.
